Upon selling her business, Simone O'Connell set out to secure a salon chair that provided all she desired - great customer service, consistency and a fabulous result. Not surprisingly, the freelance hair and make-up artist encountered difficulties along the way.

A business and sales management professional, Rosemary Hunt grew her husbands salon business to an impressive level with the use of excellent business principals and fine hairdressing. The customer service expert understands a businesses' vulnerability when it comes to unmotivated staff and a poor salon mission.

After extensive research on client behaviour, motivation and loyalty patterns, Simone and Rosemary decided to do a favour for the industry that had provided for them for over 20 years.

Beauty Spy is a mystery client service that ensures consistency throughout salon by ensuring staff are performing at an optimum level for 'every client, every time' despite the varying presence of an owner - ultimately resulting in ample time for owners to concentrate on aspects other than, the running of a business.

Simone and Rosemary also train staff in the elements of consistent customer service, the importance of loyalty and integrity and, how to operate at the height of personal capabilities, "we believe that each individual hairdresser is responsible for gaining their own clientele and how you present yourself in life will he your greatest marketing tool," Rosemary says.

Dedicated to improving customer service in the hair and beauty industry, the pair strive to alleviate stress on all levels, "By sharing our experiences and knowledge we show salon owners that, if they can 'let go' just a hit, and allow us to be the 'bad cop; more time is available for the enjoyable, creative side of their trade whilst simultaneously working on the growth of their business."
